René Jardin Brut Rosé NV

Handcrafted from the classic Champagne grape variety Pinot Noir (plus a touch of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier), this superb rosé Champagne is still maturing on its lees deep in the cool, chalk cellars of the house of René Jardin. Founded in 1889, this tiny, very highly respected house specialises in small volume cuvées of the very finest Champagnes. 



Rosé Champagne has always had a niche following but in recent years popularity has soared, with houses such as Roederer and Dom Pérignon selling their pinks for well over £100 a bottle! The best producers regard their rosés as the equals of their prestige cuvées and René's exquisite pink sees a master 'Chef du Cave' (cellar master) at the very top of his game! Meticulous grape selection from the premium Les Riceys vineyards and skilled assemblage produces a wonderfully delicate and perfumed Brut. 



Salmon pink in colour brimming with fresh strawberry and redcurrant flavours, a light toasty edge and a fine persistant mousse.
