Delicately sparkling, wonderfully refreshing … and unbeatable for the money, Italian sparklers have been one of wine's great recent success stories. When there's something to celebrate, they're a natural choice for fans of fine fizz.   

One of our favourites is Alessandro Gallici's superior Prosecco! It's made by adding a dash of gently pressed Pinot Noir - à la Champagne Rosé - and the results are delicious. Tiny amounts though - please hurry!
