It comes from a top region - Minervois is a source of top-quality reds, offering "high quality, good value, fruit driven wines … out-terroirs (sic) the New World" (Decanter) - and it's made from premium, hand-picked fruit from ancient, 80-year-old wines … superb concentration!   

Ensuring this quality is gifted winemaker Mathieu Carrara, who learned his craft in the hallowed cellars of Burgundy. He oversees the winemaking and treats his wine to 8 months in fine French oak, giving a delicious scent of cloves and vanilla.   

Deeply coloured, with spicy aromas of forest fruit with hints of wild thyme and rosemary. Bold mouthfuls of hearty blackcurrant with Syrah spice and notes of vanilla. One to buy by the dozen - with confidence!
